Summary

The Great West Way is a marketing enterprise for the corridor from London to Bristol – taking in Stonehenge, Windsor Castle, Blenheim Palace, and the Roman Baths in Bath. Next year promises to be busy, with the 250th anniversary of the birth of Jane Austen. I heard more from Fiona Errington, head of marketing, and Florence Wallace, head of travel trade for the GWW.

1:09.2

London Paddington to Bristol or indeed the M4 motorway that's running roughly parallel, that's what you're looking at, but there's an awful lot more to it.

1:29.3

Hi there. So I'm interested in what would be a typical trip along the Great West Way. Florence,

1:35.3

1:47.4

aspects to the Great Miss Way so you can travel by the rail network you've mentioned but also

1:52.5

the canal network, the Kenanagan-Avan Canal by car or the walking routes and the cycling routes.

1:58.0

So we're sort of promoting the sustainability side of the

2:02.0

route, but also the themes, we've got an extraordinary variety of history and heritage along the

2:08.8

route, so from stately homes and gardens. We've got everything from, you know, great value
