In Missouri, deputies responded to a late night call from a teenager who claimed he shot and

killed his father.

Down in Florida.

Law enforcement responded to a reporting shooting outside of a home in Pensacola.

And in Utah, a National Guardsman failed to show up for work, prompting officials to report

a missing.

As investigators dove into the missing man's life,

they found he was going through a lot of personal struggles.

At around 11.

At around 11.3 PM on the evening of September 28th

the Bates County Sheriff's Office in Missouri received a 911 call from a

teenager who reported that he shot and killed his father. When deputies arrived on the scene, they encounter two females in the driveway who appeared to be in hysterics.

As deputies worked to figure out what was happening, one of the females stated, quote,

he's never been violent.

Deputies then made their way into the home on 8th Street in the sleepy town of Adrian,

and right as they crossed the threshold, they could see a man lying on the ground in the kitchen.

As they got closer to the victim, they found that the man,

later identified as 41-year-old John McMurphy, was dead from an apparent gunshot to the head.
