Obviously, following up on Patriots, Red Sox, and Bruins from yesterday. What a 24 hours, right? Okay. So there's your Patriots conclusion and Belichick thoughts. Belichick was really happy with the team last night. Should he be? I mean, generally. Hold on, hold on. Wait a minute. Boy, Murray. I didn't answer the question. Go ahead. Generally, yes, because they got a win and they needed a win. So, but that doesn't mean all the problems went away. But short week, given all the crap that was going on, I'd be happy with a win. Yes. Murray, should he be happy with the win? No, absolutely no. Give me a sec. I got to put my headphones on stuff on. Because it has to do with how stupid they are. Hold on. I would say, generally speaking, that stupidity was a theme yesterday in Boston sports, with the possible exception, oddly enough, of the Bruins, who might not have been stupid, given the way that thing went last night. But the Red Sox and the Patriots, maybe stupid. Murray, go. Why don't you start with the opening thought been stupid, you know, given the way that thing went last night,

Murray, go, why don't you start with the opening thought? Yeah, I mean, granted, that was the Thursday-night football games you'll ever see, and I'm happy that they want. I'm happy that they're three-and-two, tough spot. Grant got scratched right before the game, blah, blah, blah. but I still don't trust this team and I still don't really feel all that good about them.

And I was surprised that Belichick was all that, you know, puppy dogs and rainbows. Same with Brady after the game. Okay, yeah, you got the win, but do you really feel good about it? And the thing that bugs me more than anything else is how stupid they are, 12 penalties for 108 yards, and it was the kind of penalties that they were. And I watched this game last night, and really just seeing this team through the first five weeks, but especially last night, it's like, is Marvin Lewis coach in this team? Because it doesn't look like a Bill Belichick team. And some of those penalties, the dumbest of the dumb, the two back-to-back roughing the passers before the end of the half. and I don't want to hear it because there were people tribut, oh, that was so

ticky-tech. If it happened to Brady, you'd be bitching about it the

other way. Those were roughing the passers, and they gave them a free 30 yards, and if it wasn't for Nick Folk and the comedic stylings of that guy last night, they probably lose that game. Those two back-to-back penalties. Dietrich Wise and Cassius Marsh. Thank you very much.

How about hands to the face, the penalty of the year for this team from Dietrich Wise on third and a thousand, third and 20? Third and 20. Are you kidding? Are you kidding me? Just tie your hands behind your back at that point and just kind of rush the pastor a little bit. It's third in a million. James Winston sucked last night. and maybe it was too big of a moment or he was going to meet Tom after the game,

but he was not sucked last night. And maybe it was too big of a moment or he was going to meet Tom after the game, but he was not good last night. So you didn't have to go hands to the face on anybody to try to get at James Winston. That one blew my mind. Oh, how about Brandon Bolden, too, on special teams, which has always been a staple of Bill Belichick, even before he was the Patriots head coach. How the importance of special teams. Boy, they just keep signing special teamers. Let's bring Brandon Bolden back again. Offsides on a fourth and fourth or whatever it was to, it was the punt. They were about to punt. Brandon Bolton's off sides, they give new life to the bucks because he's off sides. Brandon Bolden, by the way, so far this year, five penalties, two illegal blocks, two off sides, running into the kicker so far through five weeks. Why's he here? Why is he here?

Why is he here? Good special teamer. Oh, supposedly. So it just, this team's stupid. They're stupid.

They're so effing, stupid. And the other thing that bugs me besides their stupidity is what I heard after the game from some of the members of the secondary. Again, good.

Stefan Gilmore. Hey, no glaring, awful. You're on the opposite side of the field plays from

Stefan Gilmore last night. So to hear some of the comments like this from Duran Harmon just kind of irked me. Everybody was talking about the secondary, this, this, that, and the other. And I really believe those guys came out here and competed at a high level tonight, man. It was good to watch and good to see. Yeah, everybody's talking about that secondary. No, you, you were all talking about the secondary and pointing fingers without name and the name. Little too sensitive for my taste. Little too sensitive. Little too, too much lack of self-awareness with this team right now. Who was talking? Again, Duran Harmon, who was talking? Who was talking? Everybody was talking about the secondary, this, this, that, and the other. And I really believe those guys came out here and competed at a high level tonight, man. It was good to watch. We'd see. That'd be your boy, Dev from Rutgers, Devin McCordy, and Malcolm Butler, and everybody else pointing fingers. Well, it's a lack of communication, as Paul Perillo said, dot, dot, dot, because Stefan doesn't know what the hell he's doing. So yeah, all of us, fans, media, everybody's been talking, rightfully so,

because it's looked like a disaster in the back end of that defense. So already, last night, and some of the other stuff, too, like, it was a lot of, yeah, take that, yeah, we showed him. Did you? You gave up 300 yards for the fifth straight week to a, eh, kind of quarterback. you really feel good about that?

because I think that they got away with one last night. Good. Tough spot. Short week. I know I'm coming off as a complete a hole right now to a lot of Pat's fans, but they deserve it. That's, I, after that game was over, I was like, cool, good?
