And I'm Anna Palmer. Andrew Rastuchio and Matt Nussbaum have an incredible scoop on Vice President Mike Pence's chief of staff, Nick Ayers, calling for a purge of Republican lawmakers opposed to President Trump.

Ayers urged donors to withhold political contributions from GOP lawmakers and openly talked about

being in the minority on Capitol Hill. His words have reignited a long-simmering war between

the White House and Capitol Hill. Heirs telling donors that they should cut off cash to GOP

lawmakers if they can't get something done by the end of the

year is no small thing. One thing that didn't make it in their piece, but is important. Air said

infrastructure and tax reform might be a combined effort. We checked with all of our sources

involved on this issue, and they all said there was no effort to pair the two.

Ileana Johnson has a big scoop this morning.

She's reporting that Trump is preparing to decertify the Iran deal and then save it.

As a candidate, Trump railed against the Iran deal, but this strategy, she reports,

represents a nuanced approach to one of the most important foreign policy decisions in his

early presidency.

There's more breaking news coming out of the Las Vegas shooting.

The LA Times reports the girlfriend of the gunman, Mary Lou Danley, has landed in Los Angeles

from Manila in the Philippines.

The Times reports that Danley was met by federal agents but was not placed under arrest.

Meanwhile, the New York Times has a piece out about Stephen Paddock's meticulous planning

before he opened fire on the concert goers in Las Vegas. He set up multiple cameras in the hallway

and in his room at the hotel. Check out Playbook for a link to photos inside of the hotel room.

As more details come out about the shooting, Democrats have taken a lower key response to the massacre.
