It's Thursday October 3rd. I'm your host, Ryan Williams. Today we bring you an update on the case of a former sheriff in Kentucky, accused of shooting and killing a judge late last month.

In New Hampshire, State troopers responded to a home in Littleton

for a reported medical emergency, only to find an elderly woman beaten to death. And in Louisiana, after a beloved therapist is found dead

on the side of a highway, investigators work to track down a well-known Tik-Toc star.

So on Sword 23rd, we reported on the story of Letcher County Sheriff Sean Stein's,

and now we're bringing you some updated information on the case.

As we know, on Thursday, September 19th,

deputies with the Ledger County Sheriff's Office

responded to the county courthouse for a reported shooting.

As deputies made their way into the building,

they were directed to an area where the shots were heard coming from,

which just so happened to be the chambers of Kentucky District Judge Kevin Mullins.

While at the scene,

Letcher County Sheriff Sean Stein's turn himself

into the custody of his deputies regarding the shooting.

Inside the judge's chambers,

they found Judge Mullins's dead from apparent gunshot wounds.

We also learned that Sheriff Stein's time in office was marred with controversy, and it just so

happened that on the day of the shooting shooting he was deposed regarding a lawsuit.

That lawsuit stemmed from an incident back in 2022 where a sheriff's deputy working as a bailiff for Judge Mullins had sexually assaulted an inmate.
