in downtown London. The historic hallways of the Old Bailey courthouse were packed.

That afternoon, one of the most sensational trials of the century was about to conclude.

Nazar Hindawi, a 35-year-old man from Jordan, had been arrested six months earlier for organizing a failed terrorist plot.

Hindawi tried to blow up an Israeli airliner with more than 300 people on board.

The manifest included his own pregnant fiancé, 32-year-old Anne-Marie Murphy.
