Summary

Gene and Chris present Ardy Sixkiller Clarke, everyone's favorite compiler of Sky People/Star People Native American tales. Her latest book, More Encounters with Star People: Urban American Indians Tell Their Stories, takes us from the Reservations out into the world-at-large for more entertaining tales of contact and intrigue. "[It] details the UFO stories of American Indians who live off the reservation. One intriguing difference between the two groups: There were more cases of physical evidence presented to back up the testimony of urban American Indians. As with her first book, this volume not only recounts their encounters, but the recounting itself becomes part of the story. [Dr. Clarke] is a professor emeritus at Montana State University and reveals herself as part UFO investigator, part journalist, part therapist, and part friend."

We've got a really fascinating episode for you this week.

We're going to escape the UFO subject, I guess for the most part, unless we're talking

0:50.9

about possible star people.

We'll be talking later to Artie Sixkiller

Clark, who's been one of our favorite guests, and she's agreed to come back on the show.

But right now we have a few other things to talk about. First, of course, if you follow the

1:05.4

back and forth about the appearance last week of Stanton Friedman and Kathleen Martin, you'll notice that Kathleen

1:12.4

has actually become a participant in our forums. Not like, you know, every other message,

1:16.7

but she's posted a few. And that's good. We always like our guests to participate.

1:21.6

Stan has done it a couple of times, but he's not a forum guy. But I hope to continue to

1:26.9

encourage him because I think it's important to get a lot of these insights

1:30.4

because our foreign members can be sometimes a little bit blunt about what they believe,

1:35.6

but you've got to consider all points of view.

1:38.7

And I think that's the biggest criticism I have of stand over the years.

1:42.1

He seems unwilling to change.

1:45.6

And that's unfortunate.

1:46.8

As a corollary of that, consider Kevin Randall who has backtracked on some things that he's

1:53.8

written about because he continues to investigate to verify the things he's written and see

1:59.0

whether the sources pan out or not.
