We saw a range of emotions last night. A lot of people started celebrating before it was over,

and they learned it's not over until it's over. It feels like a nightmare.

A city yearning for triumph, now in its first stages of loss.

Frustration and tears across the natural area.

A goal, 51 years in the making, lost and fans are let down.

We have been battling for the Super Bowl for so long.

The Atlanta Falcons beat by the New England Patriots in Super Bowl 51 in overtime.

Last minute disappointment hurts more. Melancholy, dejected.

You know, this town has climbed to the pinnacle and we were poised to be a team that won

a Super Bowl. And now we're a team that's 0 in two.

No, it's been pretty rough. So, a little sad, but'll come back next year, and that's the way to do it.

And now to the scene late last night at an Atlanta store where employees had to remove the Falcon's victory shirts from the mannequins.

Yeah, and all those championship hats had to be removed from store shelves. Boxes and boxes of merchandise.

They have to go back.

It will not be sold this morning.

They blew the lead, obviously, in the Super Bowl.

But there is Sports Talk Radio in Atlanta, and it is something powerful.

You know, a lot of people say, oh, you guys suck, da-da-da-da-da.

And to that, we say, obviously, we do.
