Let's read the Gospels.

The Gospels are the first four books of the New Testament in the Bible, Matthew, Mark,

Luke, and John.

These are the stories of Jesus Christ's life on earth, the friendships, the parables, the

sacrifices, the meals, the miracles.

Each month we get to read all four books.

If you've been with us this year, you know this is our tenth loop through the Gospels.

And I love hearing from you all.

I get messages like this almost every day of how reading this over and over has changed

Here is how this works.

I'm going to read three chapters to you today.

You can listen or read along in your own Bible, and then I'll pray and that's it.

So today is October 16th, and I'll be reading John chapters two through four.

And this month I'm reading from the NRSV Catholic Edition.

On the third day there was a wedding in Cana of Galilee and the mother of Jesus was there.

Jesus and his disciples had also been invited to the wedding.

When the wine gave out, the mother of Jesus said to him, they have no wine.

And Jesus said to her, woman, what concern is that to you and to me?
