If they follow cultural memes, maybe it is these days. Or strawberry ice cream, right?

Oh, I haven't had strawberry ice cream in a long time. Me neither.

Well, I want to keep my weight low. As you get older, you know, everything you eat piles it on.

So that's part of it right there. But before we get started with a new book, let's kind of recap for listeners who may have just recently joined us.

Where you got started with looking at foods.

Right.

Well, it was, you know, I had a longstanding interest in the intersection of fairy folk tales and the sort of UFO phenomena in general.

And I was always very keenly aware of the taboo that existed in fairy folk tales that if you

were to take food from the fairies, you would be trapped with them forever.

And I was wondering, you know, if that had any sort of corollary in abduction reports, because

I did know that people were offered substances sometimes in abduction

reports. But my real light bulb moment was when I was reading J. Robert Alley's Raincoast

Sasquatch. And in that particular book, he mentions how certain First Nations people from Alaska
