We've got a couple of scoops to start out your morning. Paul Ryan raised $6 million in the third quarter.

The speaker has raised a whopping

$39 million for House Republicans so far in 2017. A Ryan political aide lays out what the

speaker has done for Playbook. In 2017, Ryan has traveled to 30 states, nearly 65 cities,

and has done almost 250 events on the road to help raise funds for Team Ryan,

the NRCC, and members of the GOP conference. In D.C., Speaker Ryan has done close to 50 events

for Republican members, raising them over $4 million. Ryan has sent nearly $30 million to the

NRC this year. The NRC has raised $72 million in 2017.

That means that almost half of the party committee's money is coming from the Speaker himself.

And the Speaker isn't showing any signs of slowing down. This upcoming recess week, Ryan will spend

time in Wisconsin, then travel to Texas and New York to raise money. He'll also speak at the annual Al Smith

Dinner. He's also continuing his full court press on tax reform. Today he's speaking at the

Heritage Foundation and doing an interview with talk radio host Laura Ingram. He also

participated in Sip and Skim on taxes with the skim founders Carly Zakin and Danielle Weisberg.

We've got media news breaking today as well. MSNBC's Casey Hunt is launching a new

show on the network. It will be called KCDC and will debut Sunday night from 7 to 9 p.m. She'll

interview newsmakers, reporters, and preview the week ahead. And Zeke Miller is headed to the AP.

Zeke will be a White House reporter. He's been at time since 2013.

He starts later this month.
