If he's been dealing with something. If you want to look strictly at performance, I don't think he's been quite as sharp the last two games as he was the first three. Certainly weeks two and three. I thought he was much better. You know, by most accounts it was a hit in the Carolina game that did it, one of the

Julius Pepper's sacks.

And we've been talking about it for a couple of weeks.

You can't allow your quarterback to get hit as frequently.

And I think what sort of goes unsaid, but is more important than the amount of hits is

the intensity.

I mean, I don't really recall Brady getting lit up as many times as he has so far this year.

There's been some big hits that he's taken, and there were more of them last Thursday night.

So I don't know exactly what it is.

I always anticipate Tom Brady's going to answer the bell. He'll be playing Sunday. We have really no doubts about that. But this is something I think that bears watching. Tom Brady does not like to miss any practice time, even if it's an extra practice. This was an extra practice on Tuesday. They're going to have four practices this week. I'm sure it's not a huge deal, but it's something to keep an eye on as the season goes on. Yeah, to me, the bigger story is not that he's going to play. He's going to play hurt. Like, no one has any doubt about that. Does it impact his play? And then I just immediately go to, well, now let's go back to the big pitcher thing here with him here, Garapolo, here, and what this year is about. And there's some people who think, and I don't necessarily agree with it, but there's a lot of people who think that this is that Bill still evaluating what's going on here, that he's going to wait to see what it looks like at the end of the year, whether to go for with Brady or Garaplo or some form of both. And when do they re-up Brady? Because usually he's gotten a contract extension by now, and he hasn't.

So this is just sort of, they've kicked the decision down the road, which I'm not necessarily sure has happened. But just going on that storyline, how does the injury play all into it? What if it affects his play? What if he starts to look old? What if it keeps him out? Does that push him to push through an injury that he should be sitting with?

Well, so this is why I say, like, to me, the other factors almost don't, for me, they don't weigh in with Brady, but they do weigh in with Belichick.

Like, I don't worry about Brady's mindset as to why he's playing or why he's not. Like, Brady has always played. So to me, that's a constant. But does Belichick look at it differently? Like, as we go along here, if he starts to see, you know, Tom is hurting, Tom's not right. I don't know.
