| 0:00.0 | Hello and welcome to a very special edition of the Independent Travel Podcast with me, Simon Calder, |
| 0:09.8 | and more to the point, Mark Tanzer, the illustrious, I think I can say, Chief Executive of Abta. |
| 0:18.1 | Welcome, Mark. |
| 0:19.1 | Good afternoon, Simon. |
| 0:20.1 | Now, we are speaking in Marrakesh, partly because we're fortunate enough to be here for |
| 0:26.2 | the convention of Abta, the Travel Association, but also because unbelievably your first |
| 0:34.2 | travel convention when you joined Abtah was in Marrakesh in 2005. That's correct. |

| 1:19.9 | and dominant people running those companies. |
| 1:22.4 | And now I'd say it's much more open. |
| 1:24.7 | You've got new people who have come into the industry, new ways of doing business. |
| 1:28.9 | You know, at the convention just now, we've been listening to influencers |
| 1:31.7 | and how they're able to sort of direct marketing approaches to customers. |
| 1:36.7 | It's fascinating and a very different world, I would say, to what it was. |
| 1:39.8 | Well, we've just finished the first day. |
| 1:42.3 | And my goodness, what a lot we've been through. |
