Good evening. I'm on the Navas and I'm Jeff Bennett on the news hour tonight the

Middle East once again on edge after Iran launches missiles at Tel Aviv and retaliation for Israeli

strikes on Iran-backed groups in Lebanon and Gaza. The search for survivors

continues in Asheville, North Carolina as the long cleanup and recovery

process begins. We speak to the mayor about what the city needs.

The priority is to restore water and power and in the meantime we've got to get resources to folks that need drinking water, food and basic necessities for everyday life.

And vice presidential candidates Tim Wall's and J.D. Vance are set to

square off in their only debate as the election enters the home stretch. Welcome to the news hour. Tonight the Middle East stands on the

precipice of regional war. Iran launched a massive attack on Israel

with at least 180 ballistic missiles.

Israel is vowing serious consequences.

Amna, good evening, I witnessed those impacts. Just to my right a couple miles up the coast and from

this balcony I watched and filmed Iranian ballistic missiles attack Israel's

largest city Israeli air defense and US air support trying to defeat those missiles and tonight for Israel

against Israel and direct impacts.
