Yeah, we've been kind of working through some of the most commonly asked authors, as it were.

Like we did our Neil Gaiman read-a-like show earlier this year. We've done

Jane Austen, a few others. And Octavia Butler comes up a lot, as she should. And so we thought

we would put together some of our favorite read-a-likes for her, which turned out to be harder

than I thought it was going to be not going to lie. She's kind of singular, which is kind of the point, I guess. But yes. So, yeah, so here we are doing an Octavia Butler read-a-like show on Juneteenth. I, like, that's a nice coincidence. I like it. That is good. We are being smiled upon by some, I don't know. Coincidence fair? I don't know. Yeah. Coincidence Fair. Sure. Whatever.

So what are you reading?

Nothing to do with Octavia Butler. Last night I finished Wicked and the Wallflower, which is Sarah McLean's new book. It's the start of her newest series, which is called The Bar-Nacle Bastards. And I got to tell you, if I, like, if I was just handed this book without the cover and, like, not told who the author was, I would have known it was a Sarah McLean. It feels like vintage Sarah McLean. It's so great. It's about sort of like a reformed mean girl named Felicity Faircloth.

Amazing.
