Well it's really good to be back with you guys after a couple of weeks off while we were

on vacation and the south, actually northeast Texas which is still the south but it was a

great two week vacation for us and we'll talk a little bit more about that in a minute

but we did have a week or we didn't do a podcast so we're back on track now.

Got back day before yesterday late in the evening so I thought I would just make some observations

and some things that I saw and learned while I was on vacation and I thought also we'd

just talk about a few things that popped up in the news but before I do that let me just

say that one of our listeners emailed me recently and said you know I love the podcast

but the one thing I think was I would prefer not to have to deal with is the converting

of the files over to mp3 so I can play them on my mp3 player.

It sounds like he's either getting them in some format from our web page that hosts

all the audio files and I kind of thought about it a little bit and when I create these

podcasts I create them in the Apple format, the M4A format instead of an mp3 and I used

Garageband which is a program that is Apple as part of the Apple platform and I use it

on my MacBook Pro and it creates an M4A file which I think is really a high quality in

terms of not in terms of what we're talking about necessarily just in terms of the sound

it seems to be a relatively small file that sounds pretty decent when you get all done

with it and so those go posted automatically I just post those right over to iTunes into
