Tom Hartman here in my home in Portland, Oregon, keeping you up to date on things

that are going on here.

Vice President Mike Pence, head of the coronavirus Task Force, went on Sean Hannity's show

to spin lies and attempt to whitewash the coronavirus

failure for which he and Trump are responsible. Before I read Pence's quote

let me just share with you what's actually going on. This is from a news story.

Christie Kalik has worked in the past decade in the emergency department at Detroit's Sinai

Grace. She never expected anything like this. She said we've run out of

stretchers, we've run out of body bags.

Patience end up in the emergency department hallways using oxygen tanks.

One night they even ran out of oxygen tanks so the staff ran oxygen tubing from

patients room to people in the hallways.

She said, we've never had patients like this who crashed so fast out of nowhere.

One minute smiling, the next minute they're down.

She said, even when you put them on ventilators you have to

sedate them you have to induce a coma basically before you can put a person on a

ventilator because you've got to shove a tube all the way down into their

lungs. She says so you have to put them on multiple drips,

which brings down their blood pressure,

and then you have to monitor that.
