All right. Get out your Bibles. We're going to be looking at Romans 15, 1 through 3. And we need to

pray before we begin. Lord, we ask you to be our teacher today. Use my mouth, use my mind,

use my expression of your truth to impact the

hearts and the minds of those who are listening. I ask it in Jesus' name. Amen. Okay, Romans 15,

the beginning of a new chapter, verses 1 through 3. The apostle says, we who are strong have an obligation to bear with the

failings of the weak and not to please ourselves. Let each of us please his neighbor for his good

to build him up. For Christ did not please himself, but as it is written, the reproaches of those who reproached you fell on me.

So the Apostle Paul is using the example of Jesus and a quotation from the Old Testament

to help us understand our obligation as believers in Jesus Christ.

He's saying those of us who have grown in our faith,

who have been walking the path with Jesus for quite some time, have an obligation. And that
