Second Kings, chapter 25, verses 9 and 10, and he burned the house of the Lord

0:11.7

in the King's house, and all the houses of Jerusalem. Every great house he burned down,

0:19.7

and all the army of the Caldians, who were with the captain of the guard,

0:25.2

broke down the walls around Jerusalem. These two verses summarize the destruction of Jerusalem by

0:35.2

the Babylonians referred to here as the Caldians. And as I read these verses, like the burning of

0:42.5

the temple, the King's house, and all the houses of Jerusalem, every great house burned down,

0:50.6

and the walls around Jerusalem, broken down, just total destruction of the city and all that's

1:57.6

second Kings, chapter 25. When I think about 1 Corinthians, chapter 10, talking about how these

2:04.6

things were written down for us, that we might be warned by their example, that we would hear

2:15.4

second Kings, chapter 25 today, and be reminded in a clear way in our lives, that obedience leads

2:25.3

to life, walking in obedience to God's word, and living for the worship of God alone,

2:33.2

leads to life, abundant life, and glory, and majesty, and beauty. Not saying that means

2:40.8

everything will always go perfectly for us in this world, but this is life. Life is found in

2:47.1

obedience to God in his word, and living for his worship, and the converse is true. The disobedience
