Obedience is actually not a dirty word, though we know that for many of you, your experience with obedience has been hard.

You have often been scolded or shamed or motivated by fear. You've often had your assurance eroded in order to motivate you towards

obedience and holiness in the Christian life. But what we're going to do today is from the

Bible and from the perspective of the reform confessions, point people to the reality that

assurance and rest and peace in the Lord Jesus Christ actually motivates and propels us forward

in pursuing obedience in the Christian life. And then in the members podcast, we didn't intend for

this to happen, but we were really getting ramped up at the end of the regular podcast. The
