That opinion polls suggest that the forthcoming US presidential election will be tight.

The party conventions can be important because they offer the chance of stage managed publicity

and that Barack Obama and Michelle Obama are two talented public speakers.

All that was true before the second day of the Democratic National Convention in Chicago.

And all that remains true today, which is why in a moment we'll try to explore an issue which Republicans

at least reckon could be a determining factor in this election.

There was a DJ on the decks, a rapper on the mic, and a party atmosphere in the arena.

People dance as state by state, delegates cast their votes choosing Carmelarice as the Democrats as The official process had happened two weeks earlier to meet ballot deadlines, but states delivered

their endorsements with enthusiasm. 176 votes for the next president of the United States.

There was always going to be huge importance placed on the words of former President Barack Obama

and first he paid tribute to Joe Biden.

History will remember Joe Biden as an outstanding president who defended democracy at a moment of great danger.
