Welcome to the beat, I'm Ari Melbourne, and Barack Obama is holding his first rally for

Kamala Harris in about an hour.

If you've been watching the news, you may have already heard.

You can see right here, the crowd well underway, very much gathered and in position in Pittsburgh, we're going to bring you that Obama rally tonight on MS NBC.

So you're going to see that and hear it coming up.

Harris is deploying former President Obama in the crucial state of Pennsylvania a sign of how vital

turnout will be there. The campaign is in its highest gear making this move by unleashing Obama as the New York Times put it.

Obama has not campaigned for Harris out in a speech or in the states since the convention.

And this is one of those signs that we will see

over these coming days that we are clearly now in it.

We are in the home stretch,

and Obama is building on a long political relationship here.

It was really, really cold.
