Welcome to the Boneyard with Steve Robertson. As always, I am your good friend and host, Steve Robertson here on the Maroon Friday edition of the yard. We're recording Thursday evening because in the wee hours of the morning, we're going to get up and we're going to drive to Austin, Texas. And I understand we'll have a little rain as we get into the greater Austin area some

mid-afternoon on Friday but as of this morning they still anticipate getting the game

in Friday we may not start on time but that's the current plan we'll just have to see what

the forecast holds for the next 24 hours or so.

But glad you're with us today. I hope it's a payday for you, no matter where you are today.

If you're a bi-weekly or weekly wage owner, maybe payday is today.

And so you can get out and go have some fun with your friends and family. We hope that's the case. And for you salaried employees, maybe, you know, it's the end of the month. So tomorrow maybe a payday for you. No matter how it works, we're glad you're with us. We're going to talk about Texas. We'll talk about the weekend that is to come a few other couple things we'll

talk about got a top 10 lists it's of a more personal nature today we were going to do

dream theater I'm going to push that to Monday because we we got some bad news yesterday

and no it's not the David Allen co-list maybe we'll do that one day next week but no

somebody that I know that I've talked about on the show it was a friend of mine at a very

important time of my life passed away so we will uh we will uh spend some time

honoring his life and his music today on the show man I tell you what's one of those

things till you get to be my age.

I'm only 53. And you start seeing some of your friends, you know, pass away. And it makes you

consider your own mortality. It truly does. And I'm a firm believer and that life is not fair. And that

is probably a good thing for most of us because the life was fair. Most of us would be dead

and some other people would be alive. But I do believe there is a divine plan to it all.

And nothing happens by accident. I don't believe in coincidences. I don't believe in any of that

stuff. I believe there is a meaning to everything you do and everything you experience. And much of that is to

teach you along the way in the hopes that you share some hope and happiness with other people. I truly

believe that's the truth of the matter.
