On this Wednesday, I recently had to discuss the concept of white privilege with my children

because they were asking about it.

One of them is a freshman in college.

The other is entering law school.

So I told my kids the truth as I always do.

That skin color has held some African Americans back and at times skin color makes life harder

Then I said that the term white privilege is being used to divide Americans.

Finally I told them that they do not have white privilege per se.
