What is happening is that people are withdrawing into their own private worlds and that's made

You got your computer, you got your smartphone, you got YouTube and this and that and and

diversions all day long.

So you really don't have to live in the real world if you do not want to.

You do have to make a living.

But in your leisure time you don't have to deal with anybody.

You can do it all by the machines.

And what this does is it sets up an insensitivity to the plight of other people.

So it used to be that every neighborhood in the country, everybody knew each other.

They helped each other.
