On this Wednesday while attending my daughter's law school graduation,

I was struck by the speakers mentioning justice. It was constant and

there was a reason. Virtue signaling. The problem with the justice concept is

it means different things to different people.

For example, many liberal folks believe reparations for descendants of slaves is just.

While others say spending billions of taxpayer dollars is just

while others say spending billions of taxpayer dollars on a historical wrong

Punishes innocent people who have nothing to do with the gross injustice of human bondage.

Another justice controversy revolves around the non-punishment of criminals.

In cities like New York, Los Angeles, Chicago, the victims of crime are mounting while a soft treatment of offenders is

embraced by progressive DA's and judges.

Both sides believe their positions are just.

There is a simple solution to the justice dilemma,

and that is preventing destructive people and actions from escaping accountability.

If you heard another person or damaged the marketplace like shoplifting, you must pay a price. Justice demands that, but the punishment has to fit the crime.
