But first, on this Monday it is still very cool here in the Northeast and it's May.

So let's talk about climate change.

It's happening.

But the question is, how do responsible people deal with it?

A few years ago I went up to Glacier Bay in Alaska and talked with researchers there who

are watching the mammoth ice shrink.

The data is solid, unlike some parts of the glacier.

And then there's my long island life experience.

As a kid in the 1960s, I played ice hockey on a frozen pond from late December to late February.

That pond remains, but today it rarely freezes over.

So I do believe in global warming and I also believe the cleaner America is the better.

However, and it is a big one.

China and Russia and India will continue to pollute the planet to a horrifying degree.

So it's irresponsible for the USA to hurt its own economy and pursuit of a magical solution

to warming, which is not even possible.

Another, however, we should develop clean energy.

And technology, and when it is viable and affordable, then we can change the laws to impose

the clean technology.

Is that sane, fair to we the people?

I believe so.
