On this Thursday, I am thinking about my personal philosophy.

I hope you have one because it's important.

Now mine is very simple because I am a simple man.

Do what you say you will do.

Again, do what you say you will do.

So why have I adopted that?

First, it shows that you are a person of your word.

If you say, I'll call you for lunch, then call the person for lunch.

Second, it takes discipline to say you're going to do something and then do what you want.

Do it and discipline is good.

And third, it shows character.

It shows reliability.

Even subliminally, people will respect you more if you live up to what you say, right?

Now we all know folks who are well, be-essers.

Can I say that on the radio?

Well I just did.

Do you respect those kind of people?

People who say things they don't mean, who cancel at the last minute, who inconvenience

you and others, do you respect those people?

I do not.
