On this Monday, if you are Christian, you might consider reading my book,

Killing Jesus during Lent.

Actually, it's a history book. There's no religion in it at all. But it answers this question.

How did a 33-year-old man living in a remote part of the world become the most famous person

ever to live on planet Earth.

Well, it is an amazing story.

Jesus of Nazareth was a stone cutter.

Now, most religion classes will tell you he and his father Joseph were carpenters,

but there's one problem with that.

There were very few trees in Judea where they lived. In fact, the cross Jesus was crucified on by the Romans

had been used about a dozen times before because there wasn't enough wood to make those kinds of crosses.

So they reused them.

Anyway, Jesus began preaching at about age 31, 32 in that zone.

And at first there were a few people that came and listened to them.

And then there were hundreds.

And then there were thousands.

So why did that happen?

You couldn't hear Jesus. There wasn't a microphone back then. You could see them. You couldn't hear them. Nevertheless, thousands of people followed them around. Now, I say it had to be because

of the miracles, but we don't
