On this Friday, remember the movie American Graffiti, which was about a bunch of high school

kids in Central California who graduated and were trying to figure out what to do with

their lives.

It was a really good movie.

And if you have some time, you might want to check it out.

So I have two urchins graduating this spring, one from college, one from high school, and

I've been talking to some of their friends who for some reason find me interesting, or at

least they pretend to.

Like most Americans, the graduates have been shaken by COVID and the hateful culture

on display in this country.

No summer of love this year, quite the opposite.

The kids who seek my counsel are sincere because I'm not exactly Ozzy Nelson, a warm and

fuzzy guy.

If they have the guts to approach me, I will engage.

Mostly I tell the graduates to think about what they are good at and formulate a plan

off that.

We all have talents, no one is shut out.

That's why I believe in God.

It is the plan that is most important.

That goals motivate yourself to accomplish, but always remember plans can change with
