On this Wednesday, as you may know, I am just back from seven days in California.

Now, back in the 1960s when the mamas and the poppers were California dreaming,

things were different out there. The state was considered by many to be safe and warm.

Obviously, things have changed. First off, most working people have very little money.

Titanic housing costs and taxes take most of it and don't even ask about gas prices.

So, California Mello has morphed into passive aggressive displays. You see it everywhere.

The folks understand their fate. You'll survive, but not prosper. That creates seething resentment

and rabbit entitlement. You owe me. Where's mine? For example, California bicycle knots

he's are everywhere and they're not hugging the sides of streets. They own the streets.

No pullover strategy at all. They are disciples of climate change and you driving your Tahoe

are evil. I call them the third bike historical reference. Now, for the less California nature is

stunning, even though there's no water. They give you a thimble in restaurants because H2O is

running out. All in all, I had a good time in California. The surface is still up out there

occasionally, but the tide is definitely going out back after this. As you may know, I'm always
