On this Monday, I am trying to hold on to summer, but it is slipping away.

It always does and no one can help.

So here's what I'm doing.

A slow things down.

I have a calendar and I'm filling it in for August and I'm going to do something that

enhances summer every day.

So I'll give you some examples.

I'm going to a couple of professional baseball games, Metz and Yankees.

I'm going to a Beach Boys concert.

You don't get more summer than the Beach Boys.

I'm going to a James Taylor concert in a huge outdoor venue by the ocean.

I'm going swimming in the ocean at least three times a week.

I'm actually going to a Beach Party on July 31.

I don't remember the last time I was at a Beach Party.

They frightened me.

Then I'm going ocean fishing the day after the Beach Party.

So if you plan stuff, you can grab summer and hold on to some extent.

And that is my plan.

I like autumn, particularly in the Northeast, but summer very special here in the Northern

Climes.
