The revelation that a former National Security Advisor John Bolton has written that Donald

Trump did want to delay aid to Ukraine until that country committed to investigating corruption

is going to delay the Senate impeachment proceedings.

It is likely Republicans will now have to call some witnesses and my source is say that

the White House will not object to that.

So we might expect John Bolton himself, Mick Mulvaney, the chief of staff to Donald

Trump who says that John Bolton is not telling the truth and maybe vice president Biden

and his son Hunter.

If that happens, the impeachment trial will extend and that will overcome the Iowa caucus

vote, which is next Monday and then a week after that, the New Hampshire primary.

So if witnesses are introduced into the Senate, those votes will certainly be deemphasized

because senators, Sanders and Warren and Klobuchar can't get to Iowa to campaign, giving

Joe Biden a big advantage there.
