On this Tuesday, the Greenland thing has a potential to disrupt the West and help the dastardly Vladimir Putin. President Trump is correct that the enormous island under the control of Denmark

is not helping security in the USA. That's because there's only one

U.S. military base there to monitor Russian and Chinese ships using the Arctic passage to North America.

In discussions with the president, I put forth that deals can be made with the Danes. It's similar to Panama one year ago,

when Mr. Trump's saber-rattle that American troops might have to run the canal. Didn't happen

because Panama made a deal with the USA that benefited both countries. Inserting U.S. troops into Greenland without a treaty would provide the murderous Putin with cover.

As you know, his justification for invading Ukraine is Russian national security.

That's President Trump's stated reason for controlling Greenland.
