On this Thursday, I am thinking about three things that every American needs to be functional

in our complicated society.

We live in a country that is very, very complex.

So in order to protect yourself from horror, and I mean that literally, you have to have

three people in your life.

First is a doctor you trust, a human being, a physician that you can get on the phone

if you have to, someone who cares about you as a person.

Second is a lawyer you trust.

This is hard.

Most lawyers I have to say it are in business to make money.

They're not looking out for you as a person, but you can find them.

I have a few lawyers in that capacity who I trust and who care about me, but it took me

a while to find them.

And the third thing that Americans absolutely have to have is a financial advisor you trust.

Someone who can tell you, hey, this might be a good place to put your money, but stay

away from this.

So let's review.

You need a doctor.

You can get on the phone.

You need a lawyer, and you need a financial advisor that isn't a crook.
