On this Thursday, I am thinking about a new Pew study that says seven out of 10 Americans

70% live paycheck to paycheck.

That means these people, our co-citizens, have no money at all in reserve.

Now I do not believe the Pew survey, even though that organization is reliable.

I think the number is about 50%.

So if you are one of those living paycheck to paycheck, you have big trouble.

But Americans don't understand collectively is that money buys freedom.

If you have money in the bank, you have more options.

You can do more things.

If bad things happen to you, you can buy some protection.

If you have no money in the bank, you are at the mercy of your employer.

The job might be terrible.

But what can you do?

You're living paycheck to paycheck.

You don't want to get yourself in that corner.

The tragedy here is that American public schools do not teach children about money what

it really is.

Again, money provides protection, save as much as you can.
