On this Wednesday, let's put politics aside for a moment and talk about Christmas gifts.

The average American spends about $1,000 on presents every Christmas.

And there is often angst in the decision-making process.

Well, I don't want that.

You listen to me for analysis and advice and I want you to have a nice Christmas.

So let's run it down.

Gifts for kids.

Almost all tech and I don't know anything about tech so I can't help you.

But you got to ask the kids, now what about Santa?

Well, the federal government has kind of replaced Santa and giving Americans stuff, right?

Anyway, little kids, Santa, a very good thing and you know what little kids want to get

them, but older kids, you got to ask them.

About mom.

You know, it's all over the place with mom.

I think a nice coat, you know, something really classy, but then you got to size it and

boy, dad, impossible for dad, impossible.

Unless dad has a hobby.

So if he's a fisherman, then you get him fished off, a golfer, you get him golf stuff.

But outside of the hobby range, I don't know.
