On this Wednesday, after interviewing a vet who lost his legs in Afghanistan, I got to

thinking about betrayal.

Did the man feel betrayed by his own country?

He performed his military service magnificently in defense of freedom.

The army corporal told me he did his duty.

He protected his friends who were with him.

He is deeply disappointed with the way that Afghanistan turned out.
