0:07.7	All right, so I got about a week and you got to file your taxes.
0:14.8	Refunds are way down because Americans who are earning good money can only deduct $10,000
0:21.2	in expenses.
0:22.2	You can't write off your mortgage.
0:24.5	You can't write off state and local taxes.
0:27.5	You know, I got to pay more, but that's okay with me.
0:30.3	I want the country to prosper as long as I'm not gouged.
0:34.7	But let's take a look at what's going on in California.
0:36.7	And the reason I point out California, not only the nation's most popular state, but
0:41.4	what happens there in the liberal realm usually goes to Washington.
0:47.1	So this is what if you live in California, it's what you're looking at.
0:50.9	All right, so the state has the highest state tax in the country.
0:56.9	It can reach 10% in some areas because they have local taxes tacked on to the state taxes.
1:03.8	So you can get as high as 10.
1:05.6	All right, that's an addition to what you pay to Feds.
1:08.7	Now, there are only three states in the union that allow that to add local taxes to state
1:14.7	taxes.
1:16.5	So right off the bat, you're earning money in California, right off the job, you are
1:22.8	paying federal tax and an extraordinary, lehigh state tax, local tax.
1:28.3	Okay, you ready?
1:29.9	Sigarettes, $2.87 a pack.
