Do you know a lot about the world of Numenone?

No, I don't.

Well, there we go. Tell me what you think it is.

Excellent. So Numinera is Earth, a billion years in the future.

So a billion years. A billion years. A billion years.

So science tells us that it thinks a billion years in the future will be kind of a bad time to be an organic life form on Earth.

The sun will have gone through some lovely maturation

and not be pumping out quite so much heat as it used to, or maybe too much heat, I don't really

remember, but it's not a good time to be a life form basically. However, lo and behold, for some reason, there are many life forms on earth.

There seems to have been some sort of basically celestial rearrangements and tinkering by the people who have

lived on the earth over this billion year period. So the idea is that you are

living in the ninth world.

There have been at least eight great civilizations

to grow up and reach enormous technological prowess

and scientific advancement and be able to terraform the earth and move celestial bodies and they've

seated the earth with things called nanites which are tiny microscopic

little robots essentially that can you know manipulate matter and so for one

reason or another all of these some human some definitely non-human

civilizations left were were killed died out, whatever. So you are all humans sort of living on the
