Hey everyone. Welcome to episode number 40, Big 4-0 of Thomas in the Bible. And good news and bad news today. The bad news is this reading is pretty bad.

It's got a little going on toward the end, but it starts really poorly and boringly.

Good news is we are just cleaning up numbers, and we're going to be done with the book of numbers and going on to Deuteronomy, which is exciting. And I think

that will be one more book, and then we will be, I think we will be done with Moses, because

I am, let me tell you, a little sick of Moses, a little bit, a little bit. So let's get

started with this boring first chapter here.

These are the journeys of the children of Israel,

which went forth out of the land of Egypt with their armies under the hand of Moses and Aaron.

And Moses wrote their goings out according to their journeys by the commandment of the Lord,

and these are their journeys according to their goings out.

It was sort of like a paladrome there, that verse.

And they, actually, a lot of the Bibles like that, it's like, this, this, this,

and that was this, this, this, this.

And it sort of like reverses the order of it sometimes.

That's funny.

And they departed from Ramsey's in the first month on the 15th day of the first month.

On the morrow after the Passover of the children of Israel went out with an high hand in the sight of all the Egyptians.

For the Egyptians buried all their firstborn, which the Lord had smitten among them,

upon their gods also the Lord executed judgments.

And the Lord children of Israel were removed from Ramseys and pitched in Sukketh,

and they departed from Sukhath and pitched in Etham, which is in the edge of the wilderness.
