They complain, has he not spoken through us also?

And then in verse 5, that the Lord called Aaron and Miriam and then spoke to them out of the tent of meeting.

And it's just a bit of irony that here they are saying, well, the Lord has spoken to us and speaks through us also.

And it's like the Lord saying,

okay, come to the tent to meeting. I am going to speak to you, and I'm going to put you in your

place and let you know where it is that I genuinely speak.

Israel finally started marching toward the promised land.

We were excited about that, and we remember, I think, at the end of Numbers 9,

God's presence began to hover over them like a cloud, and, you know, that's wonderful,

wonderful news too. And then, man, they almost immediately start complaining against God,

begging for the, you know, good old days, the golden age of slavery. Being slaves, yeah.

Egypt.

Nice.

And we continue to see how the Lord showed mercy to them, due in part to Moses' intercession on their behalf, and yet consequence for their sins remain.

So today we're going to march on in our conversation through
