We'll get started here in just a moment.

We're going to be starting at the beginning of the book of numbers.

Numbers 1 verse 1.

Numbers 1-1.

Boring numbers.

Before we do that, I'm not going to do a ton of...

I'm not going to review all of Leviticus, for example.

But by way of introduction to numbers,

this is also going to be a lot shorter

than a lot of our introductions to books,

just because bluntly there's less to say about the book of numbers

by way of introduction than some of the other books we've been covering.

Partly because a lot of the things that we said all the way back in the introduction to the Torah

and the introduction to Exodus and stuff still apply to numbers.

So we've already talked about a bunch of that stuff.

When we get to Deuteronomy, there is a bunch of stuff unique about Deuteronomy. So that'll

have a little beefier introduction again. But Numbers is sort of this transitional book in a lot of

ways.

Part of the way you see that is in the boring name, which the English names are based on the Greek names.
