All right, if you've got your Bible, find 1st Kings, chapter 18 in the Old Testament.

We're continuing our Elijah series.

I hope you're enjoying it,

and today is a guaranteed nuclear mine melt.

That's where we're going. That's what we're doing. And so what we learned at the

beginning of the study of Elijah is that God sent the prophet to pronounce judgment on Ahab, the passive

king and Jezebel, the controlling queen of Israel.

And God said, you've not honored me, you've not regarded me, therefore I am going to withhold rain

for more than three years,

and there will be judgment that comes upon the nation.

Well, that indeed happen,

and where we find ourselves in the story today,'s been three and a half years without rain and the economy is devastated

the crops are decimated the livestock are dying.

Everything is under judgment.

Despite all of this, there's not been repentance

from the King and the Queen.

They continue with their hard-hearted rebellion
