How to Be Bote. I'm here with our political editor George Eaton and our Deputy Web editor Anushikelian to talk about the Labour leadership race.

But before we get into the politics of who's running and who's doing what, I thought we just briefly clarify how this works.

A lot of discussion has gone on about this, about

nominations endorsements and so on, but just so you know, this is how it works.

George. Yes, so to get onto the Labour leadership ballot, contenders need to

be nominated by 12.5% of MPs which is 35.

And so far Andy Burnham, who is the favorites for the job, is the only ones who have reached that threshold but

Yvette Cooper and this Kendall are also likely to make the ballot.

And when do they have to have these nominations in by?

So I forget the exact date, but it's nominations close early June.

The PRP hustings next week, so that's when for the first time the candidates will appear in front of MPs in where the Labour Party
