All right, everybody. Lead story today is from the Washington Post and they say, quote, the army falsely denied for days that Lieutenant General Charles Flynn, the brother of disgraced former National Security Advisor Michael Flynn, was involved in a key meeting during its heavily scrutinized response to the deadly assault on the Capitol.

Charles Flynn confirmed an assatement issue to the Washington Post on Wednesday. He was in the room. He was in the room where it happened for a tense January 6 phone call during which the Capitol Police and DC officials pleaded with the Pentagon to dispatch the National Guard urgently, but top Army officials expressed concern about having the Guard at the Capitol.

Now it's not in this particular story here in the Washington Post, but I believe what they're referring to is Paiat, Lieutenant General Paiat, who said he didn't like the look of the National Guard going to the Capitol.
