Live from NPR News in Washington, I'm Janine Hurst. A temporary ceasefire is set to take place

tomorrow between Israel and Hamas with the initial release of 13 hostages in exchange for Palestinian prisoners.

The Persian Gulf Nation of Qatar is involved in the complex negotiations,

and Pierre Zia Batraui has more.

Qatar's foreign ministry says a humanitarian policy and PIRZair Zaira Batraui has more.

Khatar's foreign ministry says a humanitarian pause in the fighting will begin Friday morning

in Gaza and that the first group of Israeli hostages will be released from Gaza several

hours later that same day.

Qatar says a list of the hostages who will be released was handed over to Israel's intelligence

services.

Meanwhile, Hamas says the deal that was agreed upon pauses fighting for four days and that Israel will release

three Palestinian prisoners in exchange for each hostage that's freed from Gaza.

Hamas also says the deal allows for 200 humanitarian aid trucks to enter Gaza each day

and that this aid can be distributed to all areas of Gaza, including the North, which has been cut

off from receiving aid for around two weeks now.
