There are tens of thousands of veterans behind bars in the U.S., often without any of the mental health services they may need.

When you go to prison, you automatically lose your benefits as a veteran.

You become a war to the state.

How much do we owe these veterans who have thought our wars?

session today trying to find a bipartisan solution to reopen the federal government, but they've

ended with no deal to end the shutdown, which at 39 days,
