Vice President Harris is set to speak tonight from the ellipse in Washington DC

with the White House in the background. As NPR's Tamara Keith explains her

campaign says she'll be making her closing argument to voters.

Harris will speak from the same site where on January 6, 2021,

then President Donald Trump told his supporters to fight like hell

before a mob of them stormed the Capitol building.

Harris campaign chair Jen O'Malley Dillon says tonight's remarks are aimed at breaking through

to the last remaining undecided voters, with election day just a week away.

We know a lot of these undecided voters, they're exhausted.

They're certainly frustrated by the state of the partisanship and divided political system

that really was defined under Donald Trump, his chaos.

She says Harris will argue it's time to turn the page on the Trump era and we'll discuss her

plans to improve the lives of Americans.
