During an Oval Office meeting today, President Biden told Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky

that no nation can be secure in the world if the U.S. and allies don't stand up and defend

Ukraine against Russian brutality.

President Pyars-Tamerkin reports it still is unclear whether Congress will approve another

$24 billion for Ukraine.

The aid package for Ukraine is all tied up in the ongoing drama among Republicans in the

House of Representatives, who haven't figured out how to get to yes on bills to fund the

government.

White House National Security Advisor Jake Sullivan says Zelensky knew what he was

walking into when he came to Washington to advocate for more assistance.

President Zelensky is not coming here like a babe in the woods, not having any understanding

that, you know, we have to work through as we approach the end of the fiscal year,

funding for the government going forward.

He recognizes that that's going to be contested, that there are different perspectives.

Sullivan said what Zelensky wanted to hear from President Biden is that the funding

will come through eventually.

And Sullivan said he remains confident.
